2025 Board Member Nominees

Nathan Burton

Nathan Burton grew up in Yazoo City. He graduated from Yazoo City High School in 1997. He then attended University of Mississippi and Holmes Junior College. At Holmes Junior College he attained his training in computer networking. He began his employment at the Bank of Yazoo in 1999 as a Network Administrator. In 2018, he was named Security Officer, and in 2025, he was named Vice President at the Bank of Yazoo. He also maintains the computer/networking operations at all bank locations.

Nathan has attended First United Methodist Church in Yazoo City since high school. He became a member in 2001. He married Emily Burton, also a Yazoo native, in 2001. She is a dentist who owns a local dental practice, Family Dental Clinic of Yazoo City. They have three children: Garner, 19; Mattie, 17; and Wyatt 11. Garner is a 2024 graduate from Manchester. Garner is currently attending Mississippi Delta Community College where he is in the Electrical Technology Program and a pitcher for the baseball team. Mattie and Wyatt are current MA students.

Alex Lampley

Alex graduated from Manchester Academy and Delta State University where he received a degree in business management. Alex is a farmer in Yazoo County and is married to Maegan Lampley. They live in Yazoo City with their three children: Watson, Barrett, and Caroline. All three attend Manchester. Alex and his family are members of First Baptist Church of Yazoo City.

Joseph Ledbetter

Joseph Ledbetter is a native of Benton, MS, where he graduated from Benton Academy in 2001. He received his Bachelor of Nursing degree from Delta State University. He is married to Sara-Dent Ledbetter, who is a native of Yazoo City and a graduate of Manchester Academy’s class of 2002. She graduated from the University of MS Medical Center with her master’s in occupational therapy. Joseph and Sara-Dent have two children, Michael (9th) and Sara-Emolin (6th), who both attend Manchester. They are members of First Presbyterian Church of Yazoo City.

Joseph has been a nurse for 19 years. His career began at UMMC in the pediatric ER and adult ER. He moved back to Yazoo City where most of his career has been at Baptist Yazoo serving as the ER Manager and Director of Nursing. He is now employed at the Federal Prison in Yazoo City as the Quality Improvement and Infection Control Nurse. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, as well as supporting the mavericks on and off the field.

Stephanie Paul

Stephanie is a graduate of Benton Academy. She attended Holmes Community College where she received her Associates degree in Nursing. She has been serving the community as a nurse for 15 years. She worked for Central Surgical Associates for 13 years and served as the clinical manager during her time. She is now serving as the Branch Director for Adoration Home Health and Hospice in Yazoo. Stephanie is married to Jay Paul and lives in Yazoo with their two children, Logan (9th)and Luke (6th). Stephanie and her family are members of Parkview Church of God.

Reeves Shackelford 

Reeves graduated from Benton Academy and afterward received degrees in construction management and business from the University of Southern Mississippi. After several years of employment with a large pipeline contractor he returned to Yazoo City to help manage and grow the family’s construction company that now works in 30 states across the United States. Reeves is married to Martha Shackelford and lives in Yazoo County with their two children. Raylan who is currently attending Manchester Academy (5K) and Bethany who will be entering 2K in the fall. Reeves and his family are members of First Baptist Flora.
